Security
and Rules of the Game
All team members please read the rules listed below before registering. All team members will sign a document agreeing to follow all rules stated and understand that failure to obey could result
in immediate removal from the game with no refund.
1.
Players will have 1
hour to finish the game. A timer will be displayed so you can keep track. Once
the timer goes off, players must immediately stop the game regardless of if
they are finished or not. Teams that finish early or do not finish at all will
not receive refunds. Once finished, please do not share any clues,
combinations, or solutions with anyone until November 21st.
2.
All players are
over the age of 14 years old. Each group has at least one adult aged 18 and
over.
3.
For safety reasons,
the emergency exit doors will be open at all times, but if you leave before the
end of the game, you will not be allowed to reenter. There are bathrooms for
you to use but the clock will not stop for you to use them. They are not part
of the game.
4.
Personal items, cell
phones, cameras, coats, bags, keys, lighters, pens, or paper are forbidden.
Players will not be allowed to take these items into our escape room. A table
will be provided for you to set these items on as you play. All
electronics must be set to silent.
5.
Players are not to
destroy or vandalize any property or items while inside the Oakland Mills
Nature Center. If something doesn’t move, then don’t force it. Players will be
held responsible for any intentional damage to the room.
6.
Players are not to
look in any place with yellow caution tape over it. These areas are not part of
the game. Any area above, below, or beside is fair game.
7.
Players are not to
stand on displays or touch a display that says do not touch. Do not put your
hands inside of an animal’s cage.
8.
Everything in the
room is part of the game
unless otherwise stated. If for some reason you accidently use something that
is not, a gamemaster will let you know.
9.
Clues found should
be placed on a table. This allows the staff to find them easily to redistribute
for the next group playing the game.
10.
No one in the group
can be intoxicated. Any bad behavior will result in termination of the game.
11.
A gamemaster will
be watching the players using cameras during the duration of the game. You are
allowed to ask them for up to 3 hints. To ask for a hint, use the walkie talkie
on the orange paper.
12.
The Henry County
Conservation staff reserve the right to stop the game at any point if the rules
are broken and are not liable for any injuries sustained while in the nature
center. HCCD is also not liable for any lost or stolen property.
13.
We will take
pictures at the end of the game. By signing the document, I hereby grant Henry
County Conservation Department (HCCD) the non-exclusive right to use the photos
for publicity or educational purposes without further permission. You are
welcome to use the photos as well.
