Mentored Youth Waterfowl Hunt
When: Saturday, September 28 – 5:00 am to 11 am
Where: Meet at Shop – Chichaqua Bottoms Greenbelt
Who: Youth 12 – 15.
Participants must have completed Hunter Safety course. Limit of 20 participants.
Why: To allow budding duck and goose hunters the opportunity to
experience the thrill of
waterfowl hunting in a safe and controlled
environment.

Hunter’s
Breakfast served before the hunt – Don’t be late, you don’t want to miss this
delicious start to your day!

Two
youth will be teamed with an experienced waterfowl hunter and a conservation
officer to serve as mentors.
·
Youth
and mentors will be assigned to blinds in the 88-acre controlled waterfowl
hunting area at Chichaqua Bottoms Greenbelt
·
Mentors
will provide dogs, decoys, calling skills and guidance.
·
Youth
provide waders, firearms, and ammunition (These can be provided by sponsors if
youth do not have. Ammunition must be
steel shot - #4 or 6 shot suggested).
Door prizes will also be provided.
Stories and photos will be swapped post-hunt.
