Hitchcock Nature Center, Pottawattamie County
Saturday, June 26, 2021
Come join us to learn about and see the beautiful butterflies that call Hitchcock Nature Center home!
This class, taught by Jason Andersen, Wildlife
Biologist with Pheasants Forever, begins with an informative classroom presentation on
what species are currently active, how to identify them, and helpful tips on the habitats in which various species can be found.
Then, we embark on an adventure out into the Loess Hills to find our local butterflies!
Please bring binoculars if you have them; we will also have
some pairs of close focus insect binoculars to check out on a first come, first served basis.
Registration is required, ages 14 and up please.
