Women in the Wilderness: Make Your Own Ice Fishing Pole

Using simple items you can find at a hardware store, we will be making our own working ice fishing poles! Cost is $5 and there is a maximum of 17 participants. Please register by Thursday, February 9th at Noon. Questions? Email Kayla at stalder.decccb@grm.net.

After completing our fishing poles, we plan to have two local ice fishing experts take us ice fishing (as long as the ice conditions allow). This will be a "spur of the moment" activity, so be sure to keep an eye on the Facebook page for when that will be. The tentative plan is to do it on a Saturday or Sunday in the late afternoon. That is when I hear is the best time to go ice fishing! You do not need to attend the fishing pole making class to attend ice fishing later on.
