Almost Full Moon Owl Hike and Call Building

“Who cooks for you?” asks the barred owl. This event is
co-sponsored with Prairiewoods, but held at Wickiup Hill
Learning Center this year. We will start in the warmth of
classroom learning about owls in Iowa, with attendees
building owl calls to take home after the event. We will head
onto the trails to talk to the owls and attempt to call one
in. We also have the hike timed to view the rising – just full
moon. Cost is $5.00/adult, $2/child 16 and under, or $10.00/
family with one call. Additional calls can be made for $5
each. Pre-registration required by calling (319) 892-6485 so
we have enough calls prepared.
