Iowa Archeology and flint Knapping - Cancelled

Join a Polk County naturalist as we discuss Iowa’s archaeological history using authentic artifacts found in SE Polk County. We will then turn things over to flint knapping expert, Tom Harvey. Tom will give a brief demonstration on how to turn a raw piece of stone into a working tool. Participants will also get a chance to try their hand at knapping their own tool. All materials provided.
