Needle Felting and Wildflower Hike

Jester Park, Polk County

Saturday, April 30, 2022

Learn the art of needle-felting! You’ll create a beautiful design using only wool and a needle. The class begins at Shelter #5 with a naturalist led hike. During the half hour hike, we’ll learn and discuss a variety of Iowa’s native wildflowers which will later serve as our artistic inspiration. Fiber artist Megan Hammer will then teach the basics of needle felting in the comfort of the Jester Park Nature Center classrooms. Registration includes a kit with a 6” hoop for framing your art, as well as the tools to continue your felting journey at home!
