Ringgold County Conservation Adult GPS Class and Geocaching

Ringgold County Conservation is offering an Adult GPS class on Saturday, September 29th at 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM. This class will start at the Fife’s Grove Middle Shelter north of Mount Ayr and will tour Ringgold County for Geocaching. 

Participants will learn how to use a modern handheld GPS (Global Positioning System) Unit for hunting, hiking, geocaching and much more. Ringgold County Conservation Director Kate Zimmerman will give an introductory lesson on the GPS Units then participants will go on a geocache hunt set up by Ringgold County Conservation to practice using the GPS Units. After the lesson, participants may choose to go geocaching around Ringgold County with Director Zimmerman. The first 4 requests will ride with Zimmerman; participants should be prepared to drive if they are not riding with Zimmerman. 

Space is limited to 15 attendees per session, so pre-register by September 28th to reserve your spot for this FREE event! All participants must be 16 years or older. Same day registration will not be allowed. Please call RCCB at 641- 464-2787 to register or for more information.
