All ages 11 and over are invited to join us for our annual Hunter Safety Education Course, Tuesday August 14, 2018. We will meet at the Oak Grove Lodge from 9 am- 7 pm. Participants must attend full length of the class, registration is required prior to event by going to the Iowa DNR website. This class is required for those wishing to obtain an Iowa Hunting License that was born after January 1, 1972. After you are registered for the class you will need to pick up a a Hunter Education Manual from the Public Library in either Hawarden, Orange City, Sioux Center, or Rock Valley. Prior to class you will need to complete the review questions in the manual and bring the manual and questions with you to class. Class will cover firearm safety, hunting ethics, first aid, hunting laws and much more. Hands on instruction will be done in the afternoon with live firing and additional safety training. Students will need a sack lunch and snacks for the day, supper is provided. To register for the class please click here.
