Animal Engineers

McFarland Park, Story County

Monday, November 6, 2023

Can you build like a beaver or a bird? Explore outdoors to find out what gives animal shelters their strength and waterproofing. After learning about the built-in “tools” animals use, see if you can build a small shelter from natural materials to keep an “animal” dry and safe. We will test your engineering with water and weights!

Wear clothes that can get dirty. Be prepared to be outside for part of the program.

This even is a perfect event for children in 1st-2nd grade level.

FREE event.

Unless otherwise stated, refunds can be issued less a $5.00 processing fee per event for cancellations prior to the registration deadline. No refunds will be made after the registration deadline. To cancel a registration, please call (515) 232-2516.  In need of financial assistance? We encourage you to check out NatureConnect, our service assistance program that provides 50% off the cost of SCC camping, educational programs, and more.
