Rain Barrel Workshop

Winneshiek County Conservation will be hosting a rain barrel
workshop on Sunday, March 11 at 2:00 at Lake Meyer Campground.
Participants in this hands-on workshop will construct their
own 55-gallon rain barrel. All materials and tools will be provided, as will
information on how to collect and use runoff rain water.
A $20 materials fee per barrel is due at the time of the
workshop. Only a limited number of barrels are available and registration is
required by Friday, March 9 by calling (563) 534-7145.
The workshop will involve the use of power tools. Anyone
under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should be
able to transport their barrel home after the workshop.
