Big Sand Mound 4th Grade Family Evening

Explore Big Sand Mound with your 4th grader! This event is for families of 4th grade students in Louisa County. All ages are welcome. This event is designed for you to come at any point and stay as long as you like. Activities will include wetland critter catching, hiking the preserve, and learning about the reptile research that takes place. 

You can expect to walk at least 1 mile through uneven terrain with no trails. Water and restrooms will be provided along with the air conditioned Bayer Rec Building for resting. This is a family event and adults should plan on staying with their children for the duration of their exploration.
