Building Better Birders - Common Feeder Birds of Iowa

ACCB will be hosting a workshop in collaboration with Iowa's Building Better Birders. Each season with be conducted by Kelly McKay (BioEco Research and Monitoring Center), with assistance from ACCB Staff. All ages are welcome to learn about "Common Iowa Feeder Birds". You will learn how to upcycle a tin can into a bird feeder, along with other DIY bird feeder options. End the day by putting what you learned to use as we hike one of the many trails for birds. Lunch will not be provided, plan to bring your own.
Schedule for the Day
9 am - 9:15 am Welcome and Introduction
9:15 am – 11 am Common Feeder Birds of Iowa Presentation
11 am – 12:30 pm Lunch (on own)
12:30 pm – 2 pm Upcycled Birdfeeder Building
2 pm – 3:30 pm Bird Watching & Hike
