Pollinator Parkway Open House

We are so incredibly excited to announce the opening of Pollinator Parkway, and specifically, the Open House for the nest mural by Caylin Jayde. The Open House will also be the first day of the Iowa Ornithologists' Union Fall Meeting, celebrating their 100 year anniversary. The Open House will be from 5-7pm on Friday, Sept. 22nd, 2023. Stop on down to chat with Caylin and see the new mural. She will also have other works on display in the Nature Center. This event is free and open to the public. No pre-registration required.

Caylin’s work explores environmental concerns, human and nature relationships, and the balance of her local ecosystem. She has worked with biologists, naturalists, and enthusiasts to gain a better understanding of the species that inhabit her surroundings. Through the visual language of painting and illustration, Caylin portrays the beauty of species that are less common, misunderstood, threatened, and endangered. Caylin received her BFA in painting at the University of Northern Iowa. She works from her home studio in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
