Explore the natural world through words with Tales from the Trail, Hartman Reserve's brand-new book club! With new picks monthly, members will have the opportunity to expand their world view while learning about conservation, wildlife, and natural sciences. Members will meet at 1 PM on the last Sunday of the month to participate in guided discussion and share their thoughts and ideas, as well as to pick out the book for the following month.
October's pick is Once There Were Wolves by Charlotte McConaghy. This fiction novel is the unforgettable story of a woman desperate to save the creatures she loves - if she isn't consumed by a wild that was once her refuge. Book club members are responsible for obtaining the book.

The club has a minimal cost of $2/adult to ensure attendance/RSVP and to cover event fees. We want to make this an affordable social gathering for like-minded book worms, like we are here at the Nature Center.
Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given in the case of a documented medical emergency or funeral for programs more than $10. If program cost is under $10, a program voucher will be offered for a future program. If a program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons, then a similar program will be offered in its place.
