Each year, the Butler CCB partners with Chickasaw and Bremer County Conservation Boards to put on an annual Halloween Hike. We have chosen the theme of FROSTBITE this year. You will meet characters such as the Penguin, Snowy Owl, Narwhal, Caribou and Orca along a 45 to 60 minute hike. These characters will be non-scary, and they will tell you all about their lives in the coldest places on earth. We will begin taking reservations on October 1 either online or by phone. Please note our new phone number at the Butler County Conservation Board - 319-346-6551. This event is free, but space is limited to 25 hikers per hike time. Hikes begin at 6:00 PM, 6:15, 6:30 and 6:45. We are looking forward to another fun and educational year of hikes.
The Butler CCB is looking for volunteers to act, provide treats, and help with the refreshments area. If you are interested, give Annette a call at the number above.
