Cedar Amateur Astronomers Program

Event Summary

Tidal forces do much more than just wash out sand castles.  We'll explore how tides affect planets, moons, rings, and even black holes and quasars.  We'll also investigate how life on Earth would be greatly altered without tides, and how tides may determine the possibility of life on other objects in and  beyond our solar system.
