Wickiup Hill Learning Center in Toddville, Iowa is having a grand opening celebration of the new exhibit space "Oliver and Ava's River Raft Adventure" on Saturday, April 13th, 2013, 10-4PM. Admission is free and kids take home a free Oliver and Ava coloring book. The expanded exhibit project promotes youth education of critical natural resources, renewable energy and sustainable communities, provides a hub for family activities and life-long learning opportunities and education about the Cedar River and wise management of this natural resources related to water quality and floodplain management, and improves the quality of life for the Linn County Community by providing a destination and educational resource. This is your opportunity to join Oliver & Ava on their outdoor adventure! Oliver and Ava have a class assignment to explore a local park and bring in photos of what they find. Boy, do they find a lot! Don’t forget to bring your camera and see if you can discover everything they do! Follow the dragonfly through “Life Along the River”, “Nature is Fun”, and “Everyone Lives in a Watershed” exhibits!
