Archaeologist Lara Noldner from the Iowa Office of the State Archaeologist will summarize how bioarchaeologists investigate the lives of past people using skeletal signatures of activity, and provide an example of what we can learn about past societies from such studies. Find out how Spanish colonization affected the ancient Maya community at Tipu in west-central Belize. Cost is $2.50/adult, $1/child 16 and under, or $5/family.
