JPEC New Volunteer Orientation

Thank you for your
interest in becoming a valued member of our team that helps makes Jester Park
Equestrian Center (JPEC) a success!
We need help in virtually every aspect of the barn. From helping with daily
chores to assisting with our equine events, we are happy with any helping hand.
Here are some of our programs that you can become trained in to volunteer with:
Therapeutic Horsemanship Program, Tiny Tots Riding Lessons, Summer Camps,
Equine Events, Barn Projects and many more. We greatly value our volunteers
that come once a year to help in our concession stand at our annual Pony Express
to Santa to our dedicated volunteers who come every week and assist with our
instructors and their riding classes.
This training will cover topics such as: Barn and Horse Safety, JPEC
Program Overview, Volunteer Expectations, and Basic Horse Handling.

training.

Requirements: All JPEC volunteers must be over 18 years of age. Please inquire
about our Hope From Horses Volunteer Program for teenagers ages 14-18. Must complete
PCC (Polk County Conservation) volunteer application and sign PCC Code of
Conduct. Must attend and complete JPEC (Jester Park Equestrian Center)
volunteer training (Parts 1 and 2). All forms can be found attached below,
please feel free to print out at home and bring to the orientation or drop them
off ahead of time!
