Site 406 is a tent only campsite.  This grass site is situated on a bluff overlooking Saylorville Lake.  This site, along with #407, is nestled under mature oak and hickory trees. This site gets top ratings.

Sites may be reserved up to one-year in advance of the date of reservation. 


We have a limited refund policy; however, if you need to change your reservation you have one opportunity to reschedule. Details regarding the advance notification requirement, change and cancellation fees can be found in the Facility Contract accepted at time of booking.

Fees

Camping rate: $20/per night


Capacity: maximum number of people allowed to camp at site is 6 people.

Reservations may be made up to ONE YEAR to date in advance.

Minimum stay required for advance reservations:  

Daily - 1 night minimum;

Holiday weekends - 3 night minimum

Hours of Operation & Seasons

Summer Hours: 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. 

Winter Hours: Sunrise to sunset   

Upon entering park after hours, vehicle may be stopped by ranger requesting their campsite number and name of the party registered to the site.

April 1 through November 30

·        Reservations are required for all sites.

·        Water and modern restroom/shower facilities are open. These facilities may open/close earlier depending on weather conditions.  

Closures

December 1 through March 31

·       Gravel roads in camp areas are closed to vehicular traffic. Shower house is closed.

·       Only hike-in tent camping is available at this time. Campers must self-register at the campground kiosk within one hour of setting up camp.

Permits

We require that you post your camping receipt on site marker provided.
