Come learn to be a how to be a safe ethical hunter, along with learning more about common hunting game identification, and gun/ammo parts and uses. This two day class is open to everyone 11 years and older. Anyone born after January 1, 1972 must pass this course to obtain an Iowa hunting license. Participants must attend both days. On August 14th the class will be held at the Hawarden Fire Station from 9am-6pm, and August 16th the class will be held at Oak Grove Park from 4:30-7:30 pm. A sack lunch and snacks, along with knowing or having your Social Security Number, is needed on August 14th. You may also wish to bring a pencil and note pad along. Those that are 11 are welcome to take the class and your certification of completion will be mailed to you on your 12th birthday.
