Polliwogs: Dirt, Rocks, Plants, and Water Camp

McFarland Park, Story County

Tuesday, August 3, 2021

Children experience nature using dirt, rocks, plants, and water and get dirty in the process! Children will need to have a water bottle, sunscreen, snacks, bug spray, water shoes, hiking shoes, etc.  Masks are recommended at all times applicable. All of this and more will be outlined on the parent letter as well.

This camp is only for children that will be starting kindergarten in the fall of 2021. Children must be 5 years of age by August 1, 2021 in order to attend.

This camp runs Tuesday, Aug 3 - Friday, August 6th, Camp will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m. daily. Parents are not allowed to stay with children (we require background checks on each person that is around children).

Our top priority has been and will continue to be the health and well-being of the public and the staff. In response to COVID-19, Story County Conservation programs will adhere to social distancing, smaller group size, increased sanitation, and we recommend face coverings when social distancing is not possible or while indoors. Pre-registration will be required when group size needs to be limited due to the facility or location.
