The Warren County Izaak Walton League, Warren County Conservation Board, and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources would like to invite children and their families to attend the Family Trout Fishing Day! The IDNR will be stocking rainbow trout at Noon the day of the event to encourage families participation in the sport of fishing. The Warren County Izaak Walton League will provide a free lunch to families with kids present from 11am to Noon. There will also be volunteers on hand to answer questions and help where it is needed. The event is free but anglers must be properly licensed. If adults have a valid fishing license and trout fee, children under 16 years of age fishing with that adult will be covered. Children under 16 years of age need a trout fee only if not fishing with a licensed adult. Participants should bring appropriate fishing gear.
