An approx 67 acre park located on the confluence of the East and West Forks of the Des Moines River.  A park which has significant History in that in the 1800's a Stockade style Fort was built on the location and used as a trading post.  No remnants of the fort have been located.



The second park obtained after organization of the Conservation Boards.  The park while State owned has been leased from the DNR and is under the management of the Humboldt Co. Conservation Bd.  Gotch Park offers electric and water sites. NO reservations are taken all sites are a first come basis.  A camp host is onsite during the camping season to answer any questions and help in anyway to make your stay enjoyable.  A log cabin is also available for rent.  The cabin offers accommodations for up to 6 people, microwave, small refrigerator, air conditioning and heat.  An enclosed shelter and open air shelter are also available to rent and make a great setting for family get togethers.  Other amenities include a boat ramp, playground equipment, horseshoe pits and access to a limestone trail that is great for walks and biking.  

This park feature 32 campsites with water and electricity & dump station. The park also offers 8 seasonal campsites from April 1st to October 31st.

Playground, picnic areas, 1 enclosed shelter and 2 open air shelters that are available for rent.

A Cabin that sleeps 6, kitchen table, microwave & refrigerator.  The cabin also has heat and air conditioning.  Rate is $30 per night.
