Anamosa State Penitentiary
Overview
The Anamosa State Penitentiary is located in Anamosa, IA. It was built of limestone in the 1870s and still houses prisoners today. The Prison Museum and Gift Shop is housed in the building that used to be a cheese factory next to the ASP.
