Discover Correll Wildlife Area in Adair

Although located in Guthrie County, this 45-acre parcel was donated to the Adair County Conservation Board in 1998 by the families of Karl and Grace Correll who were life-long supporters of wildlife conservation.  Karl was one of the five original members of the Adair County Conservation Board, serving from 1959 to 1970.  This donation of land was intended as a legacy for present and future generations to enjoy and preserve for conservation, education and recreation.   30 of the area's 45 acres are restored prairie.  A mowed hiking trail winds through 1.5 miles of tall prairie grass.  Public hunting is permitted.
