Discover Wright Timber Wildlife Area in Dexter

In 1987 William O. and Mildred C. Wright donated 80 acres to Adair County Conservation Board in order to protect and preserve the timber that they enjoyed so much.  The Wrights' family later donated an additional 80 acres in 1995, which, coupled with 80 acres purchased by Adair County Conservation Board that same year, makes a total of 240 acres.  This area, consisting mainly of forest with the Middle River passing through it, is an excellent habitat for wildlife.  Public hunting is permitted.
