    You are reserving a Shelter from the Adams County Conservation Board (ACCB) at Lake Icaria. All COUNTY PARK RULES and STATE LAWS are enforced. The rules and regulations may be found on mycountyparks.com, at the bottom of the Adams County home page in the “Related Items”. Contact the Park Office at the above location, by phone or email if you have questions concerning park rules, policies, or special requests. Park Staff have the authority to refuse rental privileges and rescind any rental permits for cause.

    ADAMS COUNTY CONSERVATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ENTER THE SHELTERS IN THE CASE OF EMERGENCY, MAINTENANCE, NON-COMPLIANT RENTAL ISSUES, OR SECURITY PROBLEMS.

    Shelter Rental Agreement
    By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or 21 if alcohol will be present), will be on-site during your reservation, and are authorized to make the booking on behalf of your group. You accept full responsibility for the actions, negligence, or omissions of your group members while using the facility.

    You acknowledge that you have read and understand the Cancellation and Refund Policies and the Facility Contract Rules.

    For emergencies, contact the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at 641-322-4444 or dial 911.

    Cancellation and Refunds:

    Should you decide to CANCEL your reservation, there are NO REFUNDS. However, if you contact the Adams County Conservation Office (641-322-4793) before 7 days of your reservation, you are allowed to change the reservation dates (limited to twice). At this time, the only two situations that may allow for a refund are as follows: the National Weather Service has issued severe winter weather conditions and advised against travel or ACCB is unable to provide your cabin or cottage with similar amenities in operable condition for the date(s) of your event.

    Shelter Contract Rules

    Shelters at Lake Icaria will be rented for the full day only.
    CHECK-IN TIME After 8:00 AM
    CHECK-OUT TIME Before 10:00 PM



    Getting into facility
    Park staff will set the sign to "RESERVED" prior to your arrival, and the shelter will be available for use starting at the check-in time of 8:00 am.

    Clean-Up
    You must clean up the facility and grounds and return them to the condition you received them. Plan to have the facility cleaned and persons departed before check-out time of 10:00 pm. Failure to clean the facility or surrounding area as required or to comply with park rules and state laws may result in enforcement actions. Adams County Conservation reserves the right to pursue legal remedies for noncompliance or property damage.

    Smoking
    Adams County Conservation is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is prohibited in all buildings and park structures.

    Parking
    Parking is limited to designated areas; driving or parking off roadways is prohibited. For additional vehicles beyond the provided spaces, please contact the park office in advance.

    Decorations and Directional Signs
    Temporary free-standing signs are permitted but must not be attached to park furniture, signposts, or buildings. Avoid using nails, staples, heavy tape, or any materials that may damage facilities. Ensure balloons are secured to prevent escape. All signs and decorations must be removed after use.

    Alcohol
    NO kegs or hard alcohol are allowed in the park.

    Music
    Bands, DJs, and amplified music are permitted but must not disrupt other park visitors. Park staff may require noise levels to be reduced if deemed excessive. All sound equipment must be turned off by 10:00 PM.

    Refuse
    Your shelter is a carry-in, carry-out facility. Please remove all trash, including water balloon waste, and dispose of it in the large park dumpsters or take it with you. Do not use restroom trash receptacles for picnic area waste or leftovers.

    Pets
    Pets are allowed but must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. You are responsible for cleaning up after any pets in your group.

    Special Activities
    Inflatable play equipment, pools, slip-and-slides, carnival activities, large smoking or grilling equipment, and tents are prohibited. Exceptions may be considered with prior approval from the park office.

    Cancellation Policy

    Notify the Park Office of all cancellations. If you need to cancel a reservation, you will lose 100% of all reservation fees paid. If you contact the Park Office 7 days before your reservation, you are allowed to change reservation dates (limited to twice) to a later date that works best.

    Refund Policy

    All reservations with the Adams County Conservation Board facilities are final. Reservations are non-refundable unless the following situations occur:
    1. The National Weather Service has issued severe winter weather conditions and advised against travel.
    2. We are unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date of your event.

    Our spacious 21' x 35' open-air shelter is the perfect spot for all types of gatherings, from family reunions to birthday parties and everything in between. Featuring picnic tables (including one handicap accessible), electrical outlets, and stand-up grills, this shelter is designed for comfort and convenience. A nearby water hydrant ensures easy access to water, and essential amenities like restrooms, a playground, a fishing jetty, a marina, and a beach are just a short walk away.

    To reserve this shelter, please make online reservations at least five days in advance—reservations must be made by Sunday evening for a Friday arrival. For last-minute availability within the five-day window, call the office directly. Remember, ALL trash is carry-in, carry-out, so please plan accordingly.                 

    Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 08:00 AM and check-out is before 10:00 PM.

    Location Located east of the main picnic area on the road to Bobbers Down Marina overlooking the lake.

    Fees

    $25.00 per day plus a $4 processing fee per facility will be added at check-out
