Discover Hoskinson Wildlife Area in Corning
Acquired by Adams County Conservation Board in early 2006 from Susan Hoskinson. Major funding with a grant from the Iowa Wildlife Habitat Stamp and additional funding donated by the National Wild Turkey Federation and Pheasants Forever. Goal of wildlife habitat and public access for hunting.
Wildlife area: 63 acres mostly hardwood timber, some native and reconstructed prairie. Indications that part of the site was settled by the original French Icarian Colonists.
