Baking the Bounty of Hartman (Ages 8-12)

Event Summary

Join Visiting Artist Maddie Sinnott to make a snack using native ingredients found at Hartman Reserve! Participants will be given dough and photographs from Hartman Reserve to inspire them as they create their own unique designs in the form of sweet berry rolls and savory shortbread crackers. Once everything has baked, each participant will have their own individual snack photographed before enjoying them in a picnic. 

Cost: $5/child. No walk-ins.

Ages:8-12

Program Policies: 

All registrations must be done online and no walk-ins will be accepted. If you need assistance in registering for programs online, please call the nature center 319-277-2187 and we will help you.

Prior to the program, registration materials and waiver must be completed for each participant and turned into the nature center. These materials can be emailed to gcallaway@blackhawkcounty.iowa.gov or sent to 657 Reserve Drive Cedar Falls, Iowa 50613

Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given in the case of a documented medical emergency or funeral for programs more than $10. If program cost is under $10, a program voucher will be offered for a future program. If a program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen reasons, then a similar program will be offered in its place.
