2nd Sunday Speaker Series: Chad Heinzel - Iceland Travels

Chad Heinzel grew up exploring
Eastern Iowa's caves, rivers, and landscapes. Those experiences, along with
degrees in archaeology and Earth sciences, inspired him to learn from past
civilizations to improve our relationships with natural resources and each
other.
As a faculty member of UNI, he has guided students to amazing landscapes
around the world, one of them is the topic for today: Iceland. Chad’s trip to Iceland
with a group of UNI students was an opportunity to explore Icelandic natural
resources, culture, and outlook on life. Chad will share stories and photos of
this trip, then invite the audience to imagine what Iowa might look like if we
were to adapt some aspects of the Icelanders' outlooks on education, nature,
and life.
There is no cost to attend and no registration is necessary.
