Wild Backyards: Native Plants for your Backyard

Event Summary

Have questions about planting native plants in your backyard? This is the program for you. We will cover prepping the space, cultivars v. natives, plant selection, sun and drainage requirements, how to acquire the plants, and wherever else the conversation takes us! If you have a specific question you'd like answered/addressed, please send it on ahead to Katie at kklus@blackhawkcounty.iowa.gov. 

Cost: There is no cost but free will donations will be accepted that will go towards our native plantings around the nature center. 

Dates: Jan. 23rd 5:30-7:30pm, Feb. 4 2-4pm, Feb. 8 6-8pm

**Due to the nature of this program, we recommend this program for adults and kids 14+.
