Overlooking the wooded bluff, the Interpretive Center's Community Room can accommodate up to 134 people. This makes it an ideal size for business meetings, family gatherings, special events, and small receptions. The updated modern look of the building adds to your event, not to mention the endless photo opportunities throughout the forest. All facilities at Hartman Reserve Nature Center are handicapped-accessible. Rental of the center includes the use of the surrounding grounds and parking lot.
Location
The Interpretive Center is perched on a bluff overlooking the Cedar River Valley and commands a powerful view of Hartman Reserve's natural beauty. Its tranquil atmosphere is further enhanced by a small pond and a web of trails and bridges that connect it with the rest of the forest.
Hartman Reserve Nature Center
is located in Cedar Falls, three blocks north of the intersection of Rainbow Drive and Laurie Avenue. From Highway 218, take the Greenhill Road exit and follow the brown park signs to Hartman Reserve Nature Center.

Hours of Operation & Seasons
The west wing is open during normal operating hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) for visitors to browse through the exhibits, which help to explain the local environment. The Gift Shop is also open during normal business hours. All visitors are welcome to take advantage of the natural surroundings by exploring our network of trails daily from sunrise to sunset. In addition, the building may be rented for weddings, family gatherings, special events, or meetings. All rentals are booked through the office at Hartman Reserve Nature Center.
