Event Summary

Join Assistant Naturalist Kate Mortensen at Brooks-Lease Prairie for a Prairie Walk on July 19 at 1:00pm to 3:00pm in conjunction with Sumner Days. Brooks-Lease Prairie is located on the very west end of Sumner at 1416 Whitetail Avenue. Learn how to id plants, history of prairies, prairie establishment and wildlife id. Also view parts of a bison and find out what Native Americans used them for! Please wear long pants even if it is hot! Tennis shoes/socks, sunscreen, hats and a water bottle are all recommended.
