The Bremer County Conservation Board is participating in the Monarch Watch tagging program again this year and needs your help capturing Monarch Butterflies to tag! Join the Naturalists and investigate the life cycle of a Monarch Butterfly, discover how to identify male and female Monarchs, study Monarch migration and learn how to tag Monarchs on their journey south to central Mexico. Naturalists will provide nets for you to catch Monarchs, or bring your own from home. When bringing Monarchs from home, make sure they are in a well ventilated container with branches and plants for them to rest on. If keeping them for more than a few hours, add some sugar water or gatorade in a small lid at the bottom for them to drink.
