Event Summary

Join us for a day on the ice!  All poles, wax worms, jigs, and basic instruction will be provided.  This program is free and open to all ages and families. However, adults, 16 and older, will need a 2012 fishing license. As of January 2006, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources no longer provides the Bremer County Conservation Board with an educational permit to cover participants in fishing workshops. Please wear layers to ensure a more comfortable experience.  Long underwear, fleece, boots, hat, gloves, winter coat and snow pants are all recommended. You may wish to bring a thermos of coffee or hot cocoa as well as a 5 gallon bucket or camp chair to sit on.
