Night at the Nature Center - Turkeys

Event Summary

Come to Fontana Nature Center to see what is offered during the fall.  Opportunities to explore the inside displays, go for a self guided night hike, or talk around a fire.  A naturalist will be available to get out live animals, such as ornate box turtle, tiger salamander, or American toad.  At 6:30 p.m. participants will have an opportunity to learn about wild turkeys and possibly meet a turkey.  This is a come-and-go style event, so show up any time between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.  A chili cook-off will also be taking place and the donations will directly benefit the environmental education program.
