Grand Opening of Snakes, Rattles, and Holes
JUN 16 2012 12:00 PM
Event Summary
With summer in full swing, temperatures are just right to encounter a snake along the banks of Otter Creek or along the trails. Inside the Nature Center, you can see snakes up close and actually walk through a giant snake skeleton replica. Along with walking through the long wooden skeleton replica, visitors will learn how snakes feed, move, and often are misunderstood creatures. Learning centers that accompany the exhibit feature informational panels and hands-on activities. The newly arrived "Snakes!" exhibit was developed by Purdue University and is currently on loan by Dallas County Conservation.
