The 186 acres of rolling timber, established tree plantings, Wapsipinicon River shoreline, pond, and savanna represent the largest private conservation donation ever received by the people of Buchanan County.

On Friday, June 22, the Buchanan County Conservation Board will host a public dedication of the Guy Grover Timber and Tree Plantings located three miles west of Quasqueton on Nolen Ave., across from the Iron Bridge Access.  Parking is available at the County’s Iron Bridge Access.

The dedication will begin at 10 a.m., and feature some words from the Grover family, and statements from various local dignitaries, the Iowa Natural heritage Foundation, and the Conservation Board.  Following the dedication, attendees will have an opportunity to go on a guided walk of the property.
