Rental Contract Agreement Statement

I agree to be responsible for any damages done to BCCB property during the stay by myself or my guests. I agree the Board may apply an additional fee to wholly or partially satisfy any damages caused by members of said group, while using the facilities. Failure to clean up the facility and surrounding area may also result in additional charges.

I further agree to accept the responsibilities stated in the Campsite Rules and Policies stated below, and to abide by all state, county, and BCCB rules and regulations. Failure to comply with any campsite or park rules may result in fines, forfeiture of fees, and suspension of park privileges.

CAMPSITE RULES:              Check-In Time:  3 PM           Check-Out Time:  3 PM

• Maximum number of occupants per campsite for the posted rate is 5. For a small fee of $5, there can be an extra 5 people using the site.


• Maximum length of stay is 14 consecutive nights.


• Minimum age to reserve a cabin is 18 years of age. No minors may be left unattended.


• Maximum number of vehicles per campsite is two.


• All county and state park rules and regulations apply.


• Park closing is 10:30 p.m. for non-registered guests.


• A second tent (up to four people) may be placed next to the main unit, so long as the occupants are minor children with a legal guardian in the main unit.  All other tents, RVs, etc. must use other campsites.


• The fire ring is for burning wood only – not trash.


• All trash must be in placed in receptacles provided in the campground.


• Keg beer is prohibited.


• All pets must be on a leash, and all pet waste must be picked up and placed in garbage can. Should problems arise from pets, BCCB staff may require that the pets be removed and/or users forfeit their campsite rental.


• Firewood may be purchased ahead of the reservation during online checkout.  Some firewood may also be available for purchase in the campground from the campground host.


• ATVs are prohibited in the Fontana Park Campground.

·        Notify BCCB staff immediately upon check-in about any apparent damages at the campsite. 

CHECKOUT RULES

Upon checkout, campers must make sure the campsite is free of any garbage and litter – including grounds, picnic table, and fire ring.  Fires should be extinguished and ashes should be cool to the touch.  Fire rings should contain only wood and ash.  Tables should be positioned where they were upon arrival.

SUGGESTED ITEMS TO BRING:

Bedding, towels, toiletries, bug repellent, food, extra trash bags for check-out cleaning, binoculars, camera, canoe/kayak, bicycles, fishing poles, and whatever else you want to enhance your stay in the outdoors!

LIABILITY AND LEGAL RECOURSE

The person purchasing this reservation is responsible for any damage done by individuals using the facility during the period of the rental.  This includes paying for materials and/or staff time to repair damages.  Destruction of park property, littering, and vandalism also are violations of Iowa Code and Buchanan County Ordinances, and individuals committing such acts may be cited or prosecuted, and their rental and park privileges revoked.

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY

REFUND POLICY

There is a NON-REFUNDABLE reservation fee policy, with the following exceptions:

• Accident, serious injury or illness, or death of an immediate family member;


• Travel conditions where a substantial risk is required in order to travel - such as a winter storm where a travel warning has been issued;


• We are unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date of your event, due to some previously unknown occurrence (ie: fire, flooding, loss of utilities, etc.).


• Requests for refunds cannot be made online, and must be made by calling the Conservation Office at (319) 636-2617.  The BCCB will act on the request.
