Rental Contract Agreement Statement

I agree to be responsible for any damages done to BCCB property during the stay by myself or my guests. I agree the Board may apply an additional fee to wholly or partially satisfy any damages caused by members of said group, while using the facilities. Failure to clean up the facility and surrounding area may also result in additional charges.

I further agree to accept the responsibilities stated in the Shelter Rules and Policies stated below, and to abide by all state, county, and BCCB rules and regulations. Failure to comply with any shelter or park rules may result in fines, forfeiture of fees, and suspension of park privileges.

SHELTER RULES:              Check-In Time:  As Per Reservation Form           Check-Out Time:  As Per Reservation Form

• Maximum number of occupants is 75. 
• Maximum length of stay is one day.
• Minimum age to reserve a shelter is 21 years of age. No minors may be left unattended.
• All county and state park rules and regulations apply.
• Park closing is 10:30 p.m.  This includes the Shelter 
• A grill is located on the patio for use by renters.  Do not burn garbage in the grill (no plastic, aluminum foil, etc.).
  
• All trash must be in the receptacles provided at the shelter, or taken with you.
• Keg beer is prohibited.
• All pets must be on a leash anywhere in or outside the shelter, and all pet waste must be picked up and placed in a garbage can.
• Smoking is prohibited inside the Shelter.
• BCCB staff reserves the right to enter the Shelter for maintenance or security problems.
• Notify BCCB staff immediately upon check-in about any equipment/furnishings that appear damaged or not working.

CHECKOUT RULES – UPON CHECK OUT, USERS MUST

• Clean counter tops and tables.
• Sweep floor, mop any spills, and remove all trash (inside and outside).
• Trash must be in the receptacles or taken with you.
• Shut off all lights.
• Make sure picnic tables are left as they were when you arrived.

ITEMS TO BRING:

Extra trash bags and cleaning supplies for check-out cleaning.

LIABILITY AND LEGAL RECOURSE
The person purchasing this reservation is responsible for any damage done by individuals using the facility during the period of the rental.  This includes paying for materials and/or staff time to repair damages.  Destruction of park property, littering, and vandalism also are violations of Iowa Code and Buchanan County Ordinances, and individuals committing such acts may be cited or prosecuted, and their rental and park privileges revoked.

Cancellation Policy

RESERVATION AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Please understand that at the time of booking your reservation you immediately prohibit other people from reserving and using the facility.  Therefore, should you choose to cancel a reservation, YOU WILL FORFEIT 100% OF ALL RESERVATION FEES PAID.

Refund Policy

REFUND POLICY
There is a NON-REFUNDABLE reservation fee policy, with the following exceptions:

• Accident, serious injury or illness, or death of an immediate family member;
• Travel conditions where a substantial risk is required in order to travel - such as a winter storm where a travel warning has been issued;
• We are unable to provide your facility (or like facility) in operable condition for the date of your event, due to some previously unknown occurrence (ie: fire, damage, flooding, breakdown).
• Requests for refunds cannot be made online, and must be made by calling the Conservation Office at (319) 636-2617.  The BCCB will act on the request.
