Woodland Wildflower Walks
APR 27 2024 1:00 PM
Event Summary
Spring is an ever-changing season and the perfect time to get out regularly, clear the cobwebs and brighten your mood. Woodlands burst into bloom to take advantage of the sunlight before leaves drape the branches and shade the forest floor. Birds herald the arrival of the breeding season with boisterous song and spectacularly color plumage. Wildlife remains visible and daylight hours continue to lengthen. And nuisance bugs are kept at bay with the still cool nighttime temperatures. Spend an hour or two outdoors each week. Sights, sounds and even smells will vary as the season progresses and locations change. New spring migrants and flowers will appear as spring progresses. Dress in layers as conditions warrant. Bring the whole family on this series of weekend adventures.
