Monarch Tagging

Event Summary

Join the naturalist to get up close and personal with monarch butterflies. Everyone will get an opportunity to tag a monarch. Tagging monarchs is part of an ongoing research project with the University of Kansas to track migrating monarchs. An interpreter will be present at to translate the program to Spanish. The program will be held Saturday, September 13th at 1:00 PM at Buena Vista County Conservation Park. We will meet at the North shelter area. Registration is required by Friday, September 12th at 4 PM. Call the conservation office at 712 – 295 -7985 to register.
