The campground at camp comfort provides 38 camp sites with 50 amp service. Fresh water is available to fill reserve tanks, but no dump station is available at the campground.  Dump stations are available in Greene and Clarksville.

Location

Camp Comfort is located approximately 6 miles northwest of Clarksville, Iowa at 23525 Camp Comfort Road.

Amenities

Camp Comfort provides 25 electrical sites, flush toilets, fire rings and permanent grills, boat ramps above and below the dam, a shelter house and playground.

Hours of Operation & Seasons

Butler County Conservation Board camping areas are typically open from May 1 through October 31 depending on weather conditions.

Closures

Butler County Parks are closed to through traffic from 10:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily.

Permits

  • Campers must register within one hour after arrival.
  • Persons bringing kegged alcoholic beverages into Butler County Parks must first obtain a permit from the Butler County Conservation Board and and pay a damage deposit.
