Event Summary

Earth Day began in 1970, and is still a day to be celebrated. This year join the Butler County Conservation Board for an evening event on Earth Day to give back to the planet that gives us so much. Bring your family out to Heery Woods State Park, and meet at the shelter. We will split up to tackle clean up throughout the park. Clean-ups like this help reduce pollution, make a healthier environment for wildlife and humans, and reduce waste in the environment. They help keep water quality good and help toward a healthier more beautiful community overall. This is a great, easy way to get involved in making your community a cleaner, healthier place and help us prepare for future tree planting and the height of travel season. We will be at the park from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Come and help for as long as you can at this come-and-go event. Garbage bags and plastic gloves will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring work gloves of your own. Give us a call if you have questions – 319-278-4237.
