Heery Woods Lodge is a 1935 WPA, hand cut limestone lodge with a full kitchen, tables, benches, chairs, and a fireplace that overlooks the Shell Rock River.

Two large charcoal grills are available for renters to cook a meal for their group.

Amenities include modern restroom facility, playground, and hiking trails.

This facility is near the Allan and Fayette Meyer Nature Center.

The Heery Woods Lodge can be reserved by the day.

Rates:

Monday - Friday : $55 per day (Excluding Holidays)

Saturday, Sunday and Holidays : $100 per day

Anyone having one or more kegs is required to obtain a keg beer permit and pay a damage deposit.


Check-In / Out Availability Check-in is after 08:00 AM and check-out is before 10:30 PM.

Heery Woods Lodge is a historic limestone/masonry structure available for rent.

It has 6 solid walnut tables with benches and five serving tables.

You will enjoy the modern features of electricity and a basic kitchen along with the working wood fireplace.

A small shelter behind offers a great view of the river below and grills for your get-together.

Closures

The Heery Woods Lodge is open May 1 through October 15 depending on weather conditions.

The Lodge may be available before May 1 and remain open after October 15 given favorable ground and weather conditions. Restrooms and running water may also be turned on later than May 1 or off before October 15 to keep pipes from freezing.


Permits

Alcohol is allowed in Butler County Parks. Anyone having one or more kegs is required to obtain a keg beer permit and pay a damage deposit.
