Winter Break Hike

Event Summary

Your family has been stuck inside for all of Winter Break. It's time to get everyone out for a little outdoor education fun. We will be taking a hike into Wolter's Prairie near Clarksville to learn who lives there and how they are surviving this Iowa winter without warm winter clothes and heaters in their homes. Wolter's Prairie is west of the nature center area, and we will meet at the corner of Quail Ave and 195th St. From there we will walk into the prairie and explore that habitat. This area has no trails or restroom facilities so dress and plan accordingly. We plan on being out at least an hour (more if the group is up for it and weather is cooperating). This event is FREE and does not require registration.
