Raccoon River Wildlife Area and Rainbow Bend
Rainbow Bend and the Raccoon River Wildlife Area sit alongside the Raccoon River south of Lake City. Rainbow Bend, a 19-acre area north of the river, is State-owned but managed by the County Conservation Board through an agreement. The site features a 3-arch bridge listed on the National Historic Landmark List, along with two camping sites. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a boat ramp for river access, a few vault toilets, and ample green space to explore. This park provides a wide range of amenities for visitors to enjoy!
