Event Summary

Along with many other colorful and interesting songbirds, more than 35 species of beautiful warblers migrate to and through Iowa each spring.  Wildlife photographer Ty Smedes will show colorful, close-up photos to identify these warbler species and other songbirds and share information about the habits and biology of each bird.  Migration timelines and routes will also be discussed, along with the preferred habitat for each bird species and where to find them in Iowa.  The program will be followed by a catered lunch and social time.  Cost is $5.00 for nature center members and $7.00 for nonmembers.  Please call 641-423-5309 by March 30 to register.
